NLC Equity, Education and Employment Summer Road Trip

We partnered with the National League of Cities and the Kresge Foundation on the Building Equitable Pathways to Postsecondary and Workforce Success project. Six cities were selected to take part in a project to explore and build equitable pathways to postsecondary and workforce success. The Mayors of each participating city made a commitment to increasing access and decreasing barriers to succeeding in higher education and to gaining meaningful employment.

LinkedIn conducted in-person briefings with the Mayors of each participating city. We covered labor market trends in hiring and migration as well as insights on education pathways and key skill sets leading to employment in each region. Our data is helping city leaders implement innovative and sustainable education and workforce strategies that address major equity issues. The outcomes of our work in these six cities will be shared nationally to help other cities explore sustainable solutions for their own local communities and economies.
